Remoistenable Glue

DIFFERENT WAYS TO PUT YOUR REMOISTENABLE GLUE ON YOUR DIRECT MARKETING

 

 

We can produce quantities ranging from 1000 to 10 million sheets. We apply remoistenable glue to both sheet-fed jobs and sheet-web jobs. In one pass we can apply 3 types of glue, remoistenable, peelable & permanent glue to form pockets. We can also time perforate in full or time the perforating anywhere along the sheet.

 Some key factors to consider when designing a remoistenable glue job to be produced.
  1. Minimum stock weight of 80gsm
  2. Know the characteristics of the paper required for your job. Remoistenable glue does not penetrate the surface of the coated stock very well, but it is able to form a strong bond when moisture is applied. Uncoated stocks almost always work better than coated stocks. We simply have to apply a heavier amount of glue because uncoated stocks are more porous and in a sense act almost as a sponge.
  3. We can apply remoistenable glue to ink usually with excellent results; however, we cannot apply remoistenable glue to 100% ink coverage. It simply won’t stick. Please design your artwork so that the glue is not applied to heavy inked solids.
  4. Full varnish on a sheet can cause a disaster; remoistenable glue simply won’t stick to it. The solution is simply to ink out the “U” where our glue is to be applied and we can almost guarantee a perfect job.
